Introduction

HYPHSENTEX (HTX), operating as HTX World, respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, protect, retain, and disclose information obtained through htxworld.org and related talent examinations, learning programmes, registrations, and support services (together, the “Services”).

We use information to provide and improve the Services. By using the Services or submitting information to us, you acknowledge this policy and our applicable terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services or provide personal information.

Definitions

Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. Usage data means information generated automatically through use of the Services, such as a page visit's duration. Cookies are small files saved to a computer or mobile device.

HTX World is the data controller for information covered by this policy. A service provider is a third party that processes information for HTX World under our instructions. A user is an individual who uses the Services and, where relevant, is the person to whom personal information relates.

Information we collect

“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual. We collect information needed to register participants and deliver HTX services, including a student's and parent/guardian's name, date of birth, class or grade, school details, city, contact details, login credentials, and examination or programme records.

We also collect usage information generated when you use the Services, such as device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, time spent, and error or performance data. Cookies are small files placed on your device that help our website function, remember preferences, and understand use of the Services.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage registrations, accounts, examinations, certificates, and communications;
  • verify eligibility, process payments, and provide support;
  • send service notices about registrations, schedules, results, renewals, or account activity;
  • improve accessibility, service quality, and platform security;
  • send relevant updates or promotional communications where permitted, with an opt-out option; and
  • meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent misuse or fraud.

We use information only for lawful purposes and only to the extent needed for those purposes or with your consent.

Data retention and transfers

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain examination and academic records, comply with legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period unless needed to enhance security or functionality.

HTX World is intended for users in India. Information may be processed and stored in India, and may be transferred to service providers where needed to operate the Services. When we make such a transfer, we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the applicable law.

Disclosure and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with trusted providers that support hosting, communications, payment processing, examination delivery, analytics, customer assistance, or development and technical operations. These providers may use information only to perform services for us and are required to protect it appropriately.

We may use analytics to understand usage and identify technical issues. We may share relevant information with a participant's school or authorised parent/guardian where appropriate to a programme. We may disclose information when required by law, a court order, or a valid government request; to protect people, the Services, or our rights; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.

Payments, analytics, and cookies

Where the Services include a paid registration, payment information is processed by secure third-party payment gateways. HTX World does not intentionally collect or retain full payment-card details; those details are handled under the payment provider's own privacy and security practices.

We may use analytics and cookie technologies to measure website performance, diagnose technical issues, and understand how visitors use our Services. You can usually manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect website functions.

Children's privacy

HTX World may offer services for school-age learners. We collect only the information reasonably required to administer those services. Parents, guardians, and schools should ensure that any information supplied about a child is accurate and provided with appropriate authority. They may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of a child's personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or misuse. No online system can be completely secure; please keep passwords confidential and notify us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also opt out of non-essential promotional emails using the link in the message. Some requests may affect our ability to provide particular services or retain required programme records.

Service-related notices, including registration confirmation, exam updates, results, account notices, and renewal information, may be sent to the contact details registered for the Services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of HTX World after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
